  • Troubleshooting K-Source Universal Towing Mirrors That Folded In When Passing A Semi Truck
  • I have not seen any customer feedback stating that the K-Source Universal Towing Mirrors # KS3891-2 have folded in when a semi truck passes by in the opposite direction, although I can see a big rig doing so if the tow mirrors were not completely tightened and secured to your factory mirrors. If the tow mirror itself folded in then I would make sure the screw on the back of the tow mirror is tight to reduce movement - do not overtighten since the housing is plastic. Also make sure that...

  • How to Reduce Vibration of the K-Source Towing Mirrors KS80800 on the Highway When Towing
  • Yes, you can correct the vibration in the K-Source, # KS80800, towing mirrors. if you push in on the bottom of the mirror all the way, you will then be able to see a Phillips head bolt in the gap that is exposed at the top of the mirror. Tightening this bolt a small amount will make the mirror much more stable. I pulled one of these mirrors and did a short video showing how to do this for you. One final note, the Phillips head bolt has a nut on the other end so do not loosen the bolt...

  • Vibrations In Mirror After Installing K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors On Toyota Tundra
  • The only thing that I can think to check on the K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors part # KS70103-04T that would cause vibrations while driving is the mounting hardware. The mirrors are secured with three bolts per side so I recommend removing the cover panel inside and checking that these bolts are tight. I have attached a video for you that shows how the panel is removed. If this issue still persist, you might want to re-install the factory mirrors and then use the K-Source Snap...

  • Troubleshooting Non-Working K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors
  • The only troubleshooting you can really do with the K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors # KS62093-94G would be to check that the wire harness is fully connected and that you didn't blow a fuse in the truck that could've killed the power to the mirrors. Once you've checked both of these I recommend reaching out to the manufacturer for a warranty replacement.

  • How to Reduce Vibration on Towing Mirrors for a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
  • I called my contact at K-Source about the K-Source Universal Dual Lens Towing Mirrors part # KS3990 and they informed me that they have not really heard of many issues with excessive vibration. However, if you are experiencing such then you might want to try and tighten the strap a bit more to see if that fixes your issue. Unfortunately, if the side mirrors on your vehicle are also experiencing vibration then the towing mirrors would be more or less an amplified version of that as they...

  • Why do the K-Source Custom Towing Mirrors Reset the Adjustment when the Truck is Turned Off
  • It sounds like your truck has the Curb Assist feature which allows for your OEM mirrors to keep memory settings and automatically adjust. Unfortunately, the K-Source Custom Towing Mirrors are not designed to work with the Curb Assist feature on GM trucks because that is a patented feature that aftermarket manufacturers are not allowed to duplicate. If the Curb Assist feature was not deactivated, then the power settings on your mirrors reset every time you turn off the truck. K-Source...

  • Troubleshooting Installation of K-Source Custom Towing Mirrors with Powered Features # KS62075-76G
  • The K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors - Electric/Heat w LED Signal - Textured Black - Pair # KS62075-76G should not matter which was installed first, but I reached out to the manufacturer and they suggested that it might be a wiring issue with the vehicle. They said to unplug the passenger side mirror and then reconnect it to see if there is a circuit that needs to be reset on your vehicle. I recommend checking your fuses in your owners manual as well and then testing with a...

  • Troubeshooting Longview Tow Mirror Fit on 2020 Ram 2500
  • The Longview Custom Towing Mirrors - Slip On - Driver and Passenger Side # LO34FR is our part number which is the LVT-3120 which is the manufacturer part number for the same part. It looks like most of the reviews we have are on 1500 models although the 2500 and 3500 should be the same according to the manufacturer. The sharp angle you reference makes me think the pads aren't properly aligned because it should be a good fit with the hook and screw being a clean and direct fit without...

  • How to Fix Extending Towing Mirrors for 2015 Toyota Tundra
  • I checked with K-Source on the K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors part # KS70103-04T for your 2015 Toyota Tundra but there are unfortunately not any maintenance procedures. I'd recommend using some spray lubricate to free the slide mechanism and then some grease to prevent it from sticking again. If this does not work, best option would be to replace the mirror, part # KS70103T for passenger or part # KS70104T for driver.

  • Troubleshooting K-Source Custom Towing Mirrors # KS62073-74G Not Sitting Level After Install
  • We spoke to our contact at K-Source and he said they are aware of the issue you described. He did explain that these are aftermarket mirrors and although very similar to the OEM mirrors, which do not sit 100 level, they are not identical. Feel free to send me a picture of what they look like as well.

  • Is A 4-Way Connector Enough To Power A Brake Controller On My 2019 Ford Ranger
  • Your 2019 Ford Ranger, even if it comes with a tow package, does not come with a 7-way connector on your vehicle. If you have a 4-way connector on your Ford Ranger, when you tow a trailer it will be able to mirror the lights on your vehicle. When the 4-way on your Ranger is connected to a trailer your trailer will mirror the brake lights, turn signals, and running lights of your Ranger. You need a 7-way connector to have the power for a brake controller, mirror your reverse lights, and...

  • The fuses and relays that come with the Tow Ready Ford Replacement OEM Tow Package Wiring Harness, 7-Way, part # 118242, does not control the cruise control, power mirrors, or the fog lamps. The two 30 amp maxi-fuses are for the Trailer Tow Electric Brake and Trailer Tow Battery Charge fuse locations. The two relays are for the Trailer Tow Backup Lamp Relay and the Trailer Tow Battery Charge Relay. The fuses and relays are located in the vehicles power distribution box (and trailer tow...

  • Troubleshooting No Tail Lights on 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited When Being Flat Towed
  • If the tail lights on your 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited aren't working when hooked up to the RV, it's worth it to first test the 7-Way connector on the RV to make sure this circuit is active. Use a circuit tester like # PTW2979 on the running lights pin to make sure it gets power when those lights are activated. If there isn't power then the problem is actually on the RV side and the Jeep is good to go. If this is the case you would want to check for any related fuses (you can find their...

  • How To Stop Your Brake Signal From Overriding Your Turn Signal While Flat Towing
  • This is a very common issue and it's nothing you did wrong, you simply just need to also install the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit # RM-88400. This relay kit is designed to prevent the brake signal on your Cherokee from overriding the turn signal from your motorhome. I've attached a short video below where Randy will walk you through the installation of the relay. The brake light switch wire for your Cherokee is colored dark green. You can test the wire by pricking into it with the #...

  • Blue Ox Patriot Brakes Applied Too Stiff To Towed Vehicle
  • It is possible but more than likely you may have pressed the brakes too hard in your RV. The Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR will mirror how much force you are putting into your RV's brake pedal. If you barely step on the pedal, the brake will barely press on the towed vehicle's brake pedal. If you press hard on the pedal, the Patriot will press hard on the towed vehicle's brake pedal. What you can do, is simply recalibrate the Patriot. You can do that by pressing the "One-Touch Setup" button,...

  • The correct Curt T-Connector wiring kits for your 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport are part # C56332 is you have the factory tow package or part # C56184 if you don't have the factory tow package. The kit that plugs into the factory tow package wiring installs inside the rear cargo area of your vehicle while the kit for vehicles without the factory tow package tee in behind the tail lights; it sounds like you have the one for vehicles without the factory tow package. For your application I...

  • No Brake Lights or Turn Signals on Factory Trailer Plug on 2019 Ford F-350 Super Duty
  • The fuses are always a good place to start in this situation, and since this is a new truck, I don't believe that the actual plug is going to be defective in this instance. The other thing I would recommend checking is the connection under the truck that connects the US car connector to the 7 way plug- make sure it is firmly connected and that there is no damage to any of the wiring (also check the ground). You'll want to make sure that the truck is on and you've tapped the brakes since...

  • Trailer Running Lights Not Working when Using a 7-Way to 4-Way Adapter
  • I assume you meant 7-Way since there are no 8-pin connectors. The 7-Way to 4-Way adapters will have the pins in the standard locations for the trailer lights but no other pins will be present. Rather than changing the pin out on the adapter it would be easier to swap wires around on the vehicle side 7-Way connector to the positions you need. The 7-Way trailer connector can be opened up and the wires switched around. If your 7-Way cannot be opened then you will have to cut and splice the...
